Where they stand???

I know this is a couple of days late but I have been extremely lazy in posting. This past Sunday The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, published an AP infographic purporting to lay out the candidates stances on the issues entitled Where they stand (sorry I could not find it in the online version of the paper). At first read I noticed something that appeared odd, in the section titled “Iraq War” the Gazette had the following:

Bush: Swift military victory followed by violent aftermath, won passage of $87 billion for continued military operations, aid in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Kerry: Supported going to war but now says he did so based on faulty U.S. intelligence; opposes policy of pre-emptive war in fight against terroristm.

I thought it curious that they would blatantly mention Bush’s top talking point so I searched for the original AP piece on the net and while I did not find it, I did find that the Lawrence Journal also published this piece but they had it this way:

Bush: Swift military victory followed by violent aftermath, with more than 1,000 U.S. deaths. Won passage of $87 billion for continued military operations, aid in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Kerry: Supported going to war but now says he did so based on faulty U.S. intelligence. Opposed $87 billion package. Aim to begin troop withdrawal in six months and complete it in four years, persuading allies to commit more forces.

I know it is fair for a newspaper to take editorial liberties with pieces they publish but I wonder what the original AP piece actually looked like? Anyone with Lexux-Nexus access want to help me out? Can you find it’s use in any other papers?
