October Surprise

Everyone that has been waiting to see what October surprise the Bush camp would release need look no further than this.

Sinclair Broadcast Group of Maryland, owner of the largest chain of television stations in the nation, plans to preempt regular programming two weeks before the Nov. 2 election to air a documentary that accuses Sen. John F. Kerry of betraying American prisoners during the Vietnam War. (washingtonpost.com – free subscription)

This is the same company that refused to air a Nightline segment in April where Ted Coppel read the names of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq. Next up, can Michael Moore succeed in getting Fahrenheit 9/11 aired the night before the election?
