You know, I understand that being a politician is a little trickier than meets the eye. Living in the public spotlight means that virtually ever decision you make is going to be scrutinized by the public, a group of people who also happen to hold your future in their vote casting hands.
So, yeah, lot’s of hard decisions. But one that seems easy to me is signing your name to a piece of paper that apologizes on behalf of a bunch of bigots for lynching and killing innocent black men about a hundred years ago. I mean, come on, who can’t at least pretend to apologize for the attrocities committed against a subjugated race?
