Castro Knows The Winning Ticket

*sigh*  You know what would make me extremely happy?  A good start might be for global bad guys to STOP WEIGHING IN ON OUR ELECTIONS!  Please?  Thanks.

Just days after rumors started flying around that the infamous Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro, had finally died, we are treated to Castro’s own political musings on our current presidential campaigns, as though refuting the rumors in grand fashion.

In a way, this reminds me of back in 2004, when after mouthpieces had “postulated” on whom Osama bin Laden (mostly Republican mouthpieces, and in virtually all fits of theorizing, this was in general meant to make voters afraid to vote for bin Laden’s choice) would like to see as president.  In October of that year, as though to stop people from taking his name in vane, bin Laden actually did speak up about our elections.

As it turned out, it really didn’t matter who was elected; he just didn’t care.

That would be where Castro and bin Laden differed.  Castro, who has survived more than a handful of presidents in his own right, seemed to speak of American presidential politics with the same kind of gusto as the best of American political junkies, not stopping to weigh in on the current race, but also reflecting upon presidents (and candidates) of the past.

He seemed rather fond of Bill Clinton, and declared Jimmy Carter his favorite president.  Great.  Just what we need.  A communist dictator talking about his favorite Democratic Presidents.

But let’s talk about who he likes for 08.  According to Castro, Clinton/Obama 08 would be an “invincible” ticket.

Well, just so everyone knows that no foreign dictator hold sway over our presidential elections, Castro is WRONG!  The invincible ticket would be Obama/Clinton 08, as I’ve said several times before.

HA!  See Mr. Castro!  You don’t know everything!

Or… wait a minute.

Maybe Castro’s in bed with the Republicans.  Yeah… that’s the ticket.  Perhaps this is all just a clever ploy to get Americans going against the Democratic ticket…

Okay, in all seriousness, Castro has made it clear that he endorses the Democratic ticket no more than the Republican ticket, particularly Hillary Clinton whose stance does not signal a significant change of US policy towards Cuba, something Castro is not exactly thrilled with.

So breathe a sigh of relief folks, it’s still okay to vote Democrat.
