Jose Padilla Found Guilty

Created: August 16th, 2007 | Written By: Kyle E. Moore

The jury is no longer out, and the verdict is in; Jose Padilla has been convicted of “federal terrorism support charges”.  This despite a considerable lack of evidence… I guess fear did win out.

I’ll be interested to see if Bush himself remarks on this.  On one hand, I would expect him to start bleating from the rafters how great his anti-terrorism policies are (hmmm…  Rudy might join in).  On the other hand, it’s very possible he might shut up and just be grateful this wasn’t completely thrown out (as opposed to the dirty bomb charges which really demonized Padilla in the first place) showing how complete a failure Bush’s anti-terrorism policies really are.

Jose Padilla has been found guilty of ’supporting terrorism’. I’d like to say I’m surprised, but, well, 9/11 changed everything, etc. Phil Carter, whom I normally find on point, doesn’t fucking get it. T…

Got something to say?
