Moving The Goal Posts; Thank You

For once I get to talk about moving goal posts in a great way, and I have a lot of people to thank for it.

When we first began the fund drive for Fisher House in honor of Sgt. Yance Gray, and Omar Mora, we really weren’t sure how successful we’d be. For that reason we set a modest goal of 2000 dollars, and sat back and hoped we could get it.

Boy were we in for a shock. Within forty-eight hours, the two thousand dollar mark was obliterated, and at the time of this writing, we have currently raised $2271 for Fisher House. That is simply incredible. For this reason, we both agreed that the best thing to do is to keep the momentum going, we’re going to try and keep reaching out to new bloggers and keep getting people on board with this program, and I urge all of you to do what you can. You don’t have to dig deep, just a couple of bucks is HUGE, and barring that, just getting the word of mouth around, telling your friends, passing it off to some of your favorite blogs, any and all of it makes a huge difference.

As I’ve said earlier, we have moved the goal posts up to ten thousand, and we’re going to try and get there in two weeks. So we got three quarters of the way to go until October 9th, and I think we can get there!

Meanwhile, as I’ve said earlier, we owe so many good people thanks. I personally thank everyone who has donated from the bottom of my heart for both their donations and for some truly powerful words that you can read over at the donation web page. And I have a list of bloggers who have been GREAT at helping get the word out and helping this drive become such a big success.
