Something Light For A Saturday Night: Women Who Rock

Okay, I’m going to be dead honest here, women who really rock out drive me nuts. I’m not kidding, and we’re not talking Amy Lee, psuedo goth kinda stuff. So while I’m going to be scarce this weekend (as is typical) I’m going to leave you with something old and something new.

Our first selection comes from back when I was in high school, and to be honest, I was never a big Cranberries fan back then (a result of being an almost complete and total fan of Gangsta Rap… What? I can’t be a cliche?). But I’ve had a kind of rennaissance (obviously), and have learned the error of my youth.

With that, I present “Zombie”

Now I’m going to be dead honest, I know very little about this next band, but this song does not leave my head. Period. I BEG it to go away and all of a sudden there it is, haunting me, teasing me… (mmmm melodramtic goodness!) Seriously, it’s a great song, and if these guys put this kind of energey into the rest of what they do, they’ll go far.

Alright, that’s it for me, see yall monday.

If you were into teh Gangsta Rap back in the day I doubt you’d remember a group called Daisy Chainsaw (since the theme is ‘women who rock’)?
