Breaking: Jim Tressel in Discussions With Miami Dolphins

Created: November 14th, 2007 | Written By: Michael Tedesco

It is no secret that the 0-9 Miami Dolphins have been frantically looking for ways to break their four year contract with Cam Cameron. Who could blame them. The storied franchise with the NFL’s only undefeated season is staring down the possibility of not winning a single game this year.

Well the fish faithful might not have to wait much longer for salvation. Some say that the Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga was spotted in Columbus earlier this week meeting with none other than Jim Tressel.

Someone familiar with the negotiations claims Tressel said the following when asked about his interest in coaching the Dolphins, “I am a buckeye through and through, and being that a buckeye is a hairless nut I am sure I would be more comfortable with the weather in South Florida. Why not.”

    Big Ten? Yawn.

Miami hiring Tressel? Why? Because the Saban model worked so well?

As a Bills fan, I must confess to taking an unhealthy amount of pleasure in the prospect of no-win Dolphins season. ;)

As a Bills fan and long-time hater of OSU, I see this working out beautifully for me.

I have to admit that I posted this little spookf after watching the HBO documentary “Michigan vs. Ohio State: The Rivalry” last night which just pissed me off even more than I already was about the past six years of Ohio State domination over my beloved Wolverines. During one segment Dan Dierdorft made the comment that he has been tossing Tressels name out to every NFL team he comes in contact with to “get this guy the hell out of there.” I could not agree more.
