Early Exits

Finally, after a day of waiting anxiously to get some news out of Florida, we’ve finally got some early exit polls that show us just how close the Republican contest truly is.

According to Rich Lowry, the first bit of data coming out of Florida is showing McCain 33, Romney 32.

This is a tight one, folks, and with a little under an hour left before polls close, the final results could yet to be decided.  Whether Romney experiences a last minute surge to put Florida in the “W” column or not, one thing is clear.  Florida is not going to result in a knockout punch for either Republican candidate.

In fact, win or lose, results this close are good for Romney who could spin Florida as an uphill battle for his candidacy, and his campaign damn near scraped their way to the top despite the fact.
