Wow that was a real bad attempt at naming eh?
This post will serve as the catch all for tonight’s primary/caucus returns. As I mentioned earlier, the only result returned as of yet was in the Republican caucus in Kansas where Mike Huckabee just slaughtered John McCain 60% – 24%.
More to come below the fold.
5:20 PM PST - NBC is predicting Obama the winner in Nebraska. With 73% of the vote counted Obama is winning 69% to 31%.
It is also looking like a similar spread in Washington with 35% of the vote counted.
5:45 PM PST – Barak Obama is now the projected winner of the Washington caucuses.
6:00 PM PST – NBC News: “Obama leads Clinton by substantial margin in Louisiana exit polls.” It is looking like we might have a trifecta for Obama today.
Update on Washington, with 57% in Obama leads 67% to 32%.
6:30 PM PST – With the Louisiana returns coming in slow as molasses – 0% returns in – I thought it would be worth pointing out that the Obama camp reported “irregularities” there today.
6:55 PM PST – Louisiana is still too close to call but here are the numbers, Obama 54% to Clinton 37% with 14% of the vote counted.
7:05 PM PST – It is now official, NBC news is calling Louisiana for Obama with the count looking like this, 53% to 39% with 32% of the vote in.
8:30 PM PST – Make it four…
Obama sweeps in the Virgin Islands
Obama: 1772 votes (89.9%)
Clinton: 149 votes (7.6%)“We believe Senator Obama will receive all three of our pledged delegates,” said Caines.
I wonder what the required percentage breakdown to win a delegate sweep would have to be?
But with percentage breakdowns like what we are seeing hold, Hillary’s getting her clock cleaned tonight.
