Mississippi, It’s Your Turn!
Most polls have Obama out in front with a strong lead comfortably tucked in the double digit range. There is, however, cause for alarm within the Obama camp, as well as the Clinton camp. Indeed, racial polarity within the state is among some of the highest I’ve seen in any state. African American voters are by an overwhelming margin supporting Obama, but at the same time an unusually large margin of white voters (over sixty percent) support Clinton.
Still, Obama is expected to win by over ten points and pick up a net gain of delegates further widening the gap between himself and Clinton who has been playing a frantic game of catch up since losing eleven straight contests in February.
Polls close at 7pm.
