Blogroll Roll Call: Catching Up

From here on out I’ll be passing over our weekly blogroll feature to Kathy, but what better way to welcome the sun, and turnover the blogroll roll call than with two new additions, and an update of a an old blog?

Before we get to the good stuff, a quick reminder on how this works.  Once a week (though this week there’ll be two opportunities), we open up our blogroll to anyone who wants to join.  All you have to do is add us to your blogroll, and leave us a comment in the comments section below, and we’ll get you on our roll as soon as we can.

Now, as I said above the fold, we got two new additions, an old denizen with an update, and I’m going to ask a favor of you guys, so let’s get started.

First up come Shabooty!  Shabooty isn’t focused on politics as much, but there’s definitely some fun stuff going on there.  For those who have had Shabooty on your blogroll, the URL has changed, so please update it to Now, the first thing that popped out at me was this movie trailer which, had it been real, would have sent me off the rails worse than the Jackie Chan/Jet Li movie already has done.  Okay, maybe not so much, but old school video game buffs could hardly be blamed for wishing this wasn’t an April Fool’s Day joke.

The next two blogs blogrolled us without me even realizing it, so it’s about time I returned the favor.

Steve M. of No More Mister Nice Blog truly ingratiates himself to me by showing us fat guys some love!  Actually, no, I can’t bowl worth a damn, and truth be told, I’m not that much of a sports fan either.  In the end, Steve does point out how our presidential pageantry can often extend into the absurd.

The other blog to whom we owed a spot on our blogroll is The Reaction.  The Reaction’s very Obama friendly, as you should pick up after only a cursory visit, but what I wanted to highlight was an interesting post by Carol Gee which points out just how much other nations are watching what we do.  Pretty interesting read, really.

Finally, I said I was going to ask a favor.  As I mentioned in an earlier post tonight, our good friend Mark over at Publius Endures ended up having to take some time off, and in so doing, he’s probably lost some traffic.  He’s a great blogger, and one who really likes to dig in with some solid thought and analysis.  But he’s also a new blogger which means that going away for a couple of weeks could lose him a lot of traffic that he worked hard to get.  So do me a favor and go check him out and kick him in the rear to keep posting.  As he’s a libertarian, you’re not likely to agree with everything he writes (unless you’re also a libertarian…), but I find I agree with him more often than not, and he’s got a great head on his shoulders to boot.  Go, read, enjoy.

And now it is time that I should go, shut the computer down, and crawl into my coffin.  The rest of the CFLF crew will take over, and I’ll catch yall tonight.
