I was similarly shocked by this. There are certain lines that should NEVER be crossed with a spouse, regardless of what type of relationship one has, because they are unmitigated dealbreakers. This was clearly way past one of those lines.

Frankly, my respect for Cindy McCain -- already pretty low, because that whole "gaze adoringly at your husband" tripe only goes so far, and then it becomes chilling in an "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" kind of way -- absolutely bottomed-out on this one. I cannot imagine any self-respecting woman letting something like that go by. It speaks to such an abiding lack of consideration (whether uttered publicly or privately) that it would prompt a critical reexamination of the entire arc of one's relationship.

I'd love to know what happened next. Unfortunately, no excerpt I've read reveals that. But honestly, if she didn't haul off and slug him right there in front of God and everybody, then divorce his ass, her reaction was too mild. It also suggests that this was not an isolated incident.

You know, when I read the headline, I was like, 'Okay, I can't say anything, expletive filled spats are how my wife and I show that we love each other'. But I didn't know he dropped a c-bomb.

Jebus...

I can't even write the word, let alone speak it. And it's not necessarily because I think my wife would care, she's not the kind of person to be offended, even by a c-bomb. But still, I mean, I couldn't say it, and trust me, we've had some rough times.

Wow...

Dude, I get chills when someone drops that word.
