		<description>The explanation that the banner was requested by the crew to proclaim that THEIR mission was accomplished is true.  I personally spoke to the flight safety officer who related the exact same explanation.  As far as &quot;major combat operations are over&quot; - that is a different story.  Let the story of the banner go and focus on the President&#039;s statement.  The banner story is just a red herring.</description>
