Tony Snow Succumbs To Cancer
Created: July 12th, 2008 | Written By: Kathy
This is incredibly sad. He was only 53. He has a wife and kids. My heart goes out to them. I don’t know what else to say. It’s just really tragic. From the little I read of how he coped with the disease, he handled it with dignity and courage.
Rest in peace, Tony.

So????????????
After the announcement yesterday CNN et al went into the role they play best, that of professional pall bearers.
I immediately shut the tv off out of fear another cannonization was about to take place as was done with the dropping dead of Pope Russett.
While it is a pity his young children will be left without him i for one will not miss the belligerent in your face defender of this white house, which he probably died defending.
He’s dead, so what. He recieved more coverage yesterday than the countless people who are being decimated in Iraq and Afghanistan on a day to day basis.
Why was he, a hack reporter elevated from fox noise to a schill for the white house more important than a reublican nominee who is out of touch with reality and a democrat who is changing his tune every day, or suicide bombers, indy bank seizure, fannie and freddie in the toilet, an economy moving to mexico with the jobs and quasi assistance for homeowners in the lastest Dodd “help his friends ” the bankers bill, all puched aside to tell just “how terrific” old tony boy was.
I don’t have to love someone or even like them to feel the sadness of three children losing their father, and the tragedy of a human being dying at the age of 53 from cancer. I can separate Tony Snow the right-wing Republican hack from Tony Snow the human being who loved and was loved by his family and friends.
If, at times of simple human loss and grief, I could only feel sympathy or compassion for liberals and progressives, I would not be the person I am and the person I want to remain.
I understand that you are a different person and may be of a different cast of mind and heart.
Props for a classy post on this topic, Kathy.
Thank you, Bryan.
