Bigger picture than that, guys.

Why are you in a frenzy over a bunch of unsupportable charges?

When Clinton was POTUS, I used to hear allegations and go "Yes! That's exactly the kind of thing he would do!" Then, I had to dial things waaay back, as I came to realize the various charges were unsupportable, were likely to always be unsupportable, and therefore amounted to so much poop.

I didn't want to be repeating unsupportable charges in public. It wasn't graceful. It wasn't reality. Did I suspect Clinton actually did some of the stuff he was accused of? It didn't matter, because it was never going to be proven.

There was only one thing to do: let that stuff go. It was easier to let it go when I remembered I would never know the answer, and therefore it was not sane for me to get wound up over something which may or may not have been true, and which I would never know the truth or falsity of. I saw others get wound up and even sort of torture themselves over the "unfairness" of it all. They were not dealing in reality. They were torturing themselves over what always would be speculation - or at least would be speculation for decades, until somebody made a deathbed confession or something.

Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy speaking honestly about Palin, did not know microphones were on! Noonan says "it's over" for McCain!

When Press says McCain is a Maverick what they really mean is that he is a Gambler. Yes, Maverick McCain just gambled his presidency away!

gcotharn,

I agree with you ... showing that Palin has an "abuse of power" problem only goes to show she is qualified to be a Republican Vice President or even President. She has broken through a glass ceiling wherein previously Republicans only thought such traits were limited to men. She's a maverick and reformer!

You know, I don't really see why? I mean, I understand all the perceived pitfalls, but when it comes right down to it, McCain picked an absolutely terrible running mate, and it really just goes to show how terrible his decision making process is. They, as a ticket, are disastrous for the country, and he decided to turn this election into a circus.

If that's what he really wants, he can have a circus, but it most definitely won't be fun for him.

It is a feeding frenzy. You might benefit from stepping back and taking a shrewder, bigger picture look at what you are feeding on, and why.
