I see there is a question regarding the teleprompter (broken vs. getting ahead of the speaker at times vs. working just fine). For me, it would be simply icing on the cake if Sarah was able to keep composed if there were sych problems. But it's nowhere close to the highlight of her performance (and political speeches are a performance). Few people will even recall if there was a problem or not after another 30 days or so of speeches and various political stop-and gawk revelations that always occur.

It was a pretty good speech, especially for someone who had some much anticipation built up over her first truly national address. She mostly hit the right marks, although the final third seemed to drag a bit. The pointed comments on Obama were sometimes a little sharper than I had expected, but I think that she is comfortable with a little confrontational style, and she(they) likely wanted to convey a strong message of rhetoric with her first big speech (in front of a crowd that the Party wanted her to wow). Her telepromter problems makes it even more impressive, given the situation.

I'd say she will modulate her style a bit on the stump, depending on the audience. But the Sarah Barraccuda nickname may apply more than some people thought. Good and bad.

I kind of got the feeling from some of the commentaries that poo-pooed her speech and felt it was too agressive, that they came off a little like Sarah didn't know her place or was being a little uppity. A little ironic.

The debates just got more interesting.

Well, after last night I think it was pretty apparent that both were firmly in Obama's camp, so I'm not worried about it.

Really, the right has been trying its best to advertise Palin as awesome, and really they're just doing what they can to sell a lemon.

The first may sound obvious but her cousin won't do it: 1. What is the most important characteristic of her cousin. Do this and you will make it to a high information voter.
