Well, this is most definitely an interesting entry into the ad pool. While I applaud the substance, tone, and just about everything to do with it, I’m curious as to whether it will prove to be politically advantageous. At two minutes, it tests the attention span of a lot of people.
On the other hand; no ominous music, no foreboding voice overs. Just a man hoping to lead the country talking to the American people. Aaron Sorkin will be proud, and I think I’ve just condemned myself to another run through of the West Wing; God help me.

A good ad. If voters believe he can deliver on even one of those promises, he might get elected.
Actually, Kyle, I think it might be an attention-getter, precisely because it’s so different from most campaign ads. I think it’s the most impressive campaign ad I’ve seen in a long time — from anyone.
How can you not be impressed by someone that keeps elevating himself above the mud slinging and petty partisian sniping of the right? It;s lucid, logical, simple and correct. Enough is Enough!
I agree. Obama has run the most ethical, principled presidential campaign I have seen in years, maybe even in my adult lifetime. At the same time, McCain has run the sleaziest, most dishonest presidential campaign I have *ever* seen. Really, the choice could not be more stark.
