ABC News’ Steven Portnoy reports: In a conservative radio interview that aired in Washington, D.C. Friday morning, Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin said she fears her First Amendment rights may be threatened by “attacks” from reporters who suggest she is engaging in a negative campaign against Barack Obama.
Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama’s associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate’s free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said.

Blue Louisiana?
Straight up disclaimer here; I believe Obama can win Louisiana about as much as I believe that I’ll grow a third leg out of the small of my back that allows me to recline comfortably without some sort of stool or chair.
But a poll is a poll, and a newly released statewide poll of Louisiana has Barack Obama within three points of McCain.
Let me repeat that; three points. If Obama manages to somehow win Louisiana, I won’t need to drink Tuesday night; I’ll already be high off of all the awesome.
What Goes Around Comes Around
With just three days left in the presidential election, it’s now up to the ground game. Which of these two candidates can mobilize its troops and get out the maximum percentage of its voters? While Obama will in all likelihood head into election day with an advantage in the polls, it is the answer to this question which will undoubtedly decide who the next President of the United States will be.
Programming Note: Volunteer Work
Between now and Tuesday I don’t know how much I’m going to be writing. My intent is to volunteer as much as I can this weekend, and on Monday as well. You all know I’ll be volunteering on Tuesday, until mid afternoon so I can get the kids home, fed and in bed in time to start liveblogging the returns.
But between now and then, if I get my way, I may not be very prominent around here with the exception of Monday evening.
That’s no reason not to keep coming back here though! We got lots of other great writers, and if I can squeeze in a post or two a day, I’m going to give it a go! But most definitely will I be right here on election evening, and most definitely will I be drinking myself into what I hope is a rapturous oblivion.

Obamacans. Back during the Democratic primaries I noted that Obama was able to attract a curiously high amount of support from Republicans, but back then we were talking about a small band of anonymous self identified GOPers.

This Could Be Our Vice President
There could not be a more stark contrast between Senator Barack Obama and Governor Sarah Palin. Obama is, among other things, a constitutional scholar; no kidding, he actually taught constitutional law. Palin, on the other hand, apparently doesn’t understand the constitution, hasn’t read the constitution, or even have basic cognitive skills.

As reported in the NYT, here’s Saxby Chambliss on early voting in Georgia:
“There has always been a rush to the polls by African-Americans early,” he said at the square in Covington, a quick stop on a bus tour as the campaign entered its final week. He predicted the crowds of early voters would motivate Republicans to turn out. “It has also got our side energized, they see what is happening,” he said.
Huh? He sees all Blacks as not being on his side. He believes his side gets “energized” when they see Blacks voting. Wow.

The Race Is Tightening, And That’s A Good Thing!
Contrary to the Gallup Daily Tracker which actually has the national gap between McCain and Obama widening, the Pollster aggregated trends show the race for the White House narrowing and believe it or not, this is actually good news for Obama.

Palin Induced Buyer’s Remorse
Roger Simon for Politico succinctly encapsulates the state of the McCain campaign as it exists today. Despite the reassurances that McCain guarantees victory come November 4th, they are already planning on losing, and they are planning to use Sarah Palin as the sacrificial anode when that loss comes about.
