Kyle you must be a young’un? Cornpone is simply being “down home” in a sticky sweet manner…it is a phony rusticism if you will. If anyone remembers the old HeeHaw show from the ’60’s and ’70’s, that was full of cornpone. As for not mentioning the kids that much, maybe not, but she dragged poor little trig on stage as a political prop yet again…he is an infant and should be in a crib at that time of night, IMO.

And… um.. see, okay, here’s the thing, I have no idea what corn pone is? Never heard of the term. I’m guessing your point was made, I’m just not sure what that was.

Oh, BTW Kyle you questioned me on another thread re my use of the term “Corn-Pone” in relation to Palin, doggoneit man, I believe that there was corn O plenty in Palin’s “debate” last night to prove my point, don’t cha think?

Here was my prediction pre-debate vis a vis Palin’s anticipated performance posted on another forum:

“I expect to hear a lot about trig, track, being a maverick, being a regular “Jane Sixpack,” etc., all mentioned in a a confident voice honed from years of competing in beauty contests; I don’t expect to hear much original thought…the Debaters are allowed to have notes so I assume that we will hear her repeating a lot of McCain’s zingers and misinformation about Obama, and the typical GOP bumper-sticker lines. ”

I think rather immodestly that I hit the mark.
