And This Is Before The Debate

52%, that is Obama’s national number according to the most recent Gallup Daily Tracking Poll.  The margin is equally impressive as this number gives the Democratic candidate an eleven point lead over John McCain.

Granted, this is something of an outlier compared to other polls, but it is in keeping with the continuing momentum that the Obama campaign is generating, and the sheer fact that all polls have Obama continuing to move in the right direction despite the mud campaign the McCain campaign has launched is rather phenomenal.

The other point to mention is that this snapshot is a composite of the three days before last night’s debate.  Movement in the polls as a result of last night’s debate won’t be made readily apparent until tomorrow at the very earliest.
