BREAKING: Ted Stevens Found Guilty
The jury has delivered their verdict in Ted Steven’s corruption case, and have found him guilty thus ensuring that the longest serving Republican in the Senate will be serving jail time. What is worse for the Republican party is that this opens the door for a Democratic take over of Stevens’ seat which is up for reelection this year.
A guilty verdict for Stevens was one of a number of wickets that needed to be met in order for Democrats to establish a filibuster proof majority.
