Well, we are just an hour from the debate starting time, so it’s a good time to go ahead and get this shindig underway.

    And you know, Jazz, and this is the thing for me. I count myself blessed. I have worked for this government my entire adult life, I’ve not been able to live the high life, true, but I’ve never wanted. I’ve always had health care, I’ve always had a good paying job. So, you know, a lot of the problems that other people are feeling, I don’t get them, personally, but that doesn’t change the fact that I think it’s a damn shame what’s gone on for the past eight years.

    And, yeah, my childhood wasn’t easy either. My mom was a single mom, and she really had to stretch to make ends meet, which was hard for a woman that wasn’t even five feet tall, but you know, that’s what I take away from Obama’s basic philosophy, we can all help each other out.

  3. Thank you so much, Jazz, Teacher, Misty, Kathy, Radical Moderator, tas, everyone. This has been I think one of our more successful live blogging, and it’s been fun. But yeah, it’s getting close to quitting time, and I have to get the office closed up and scoot my way home.
