Thanks, Dr. Gaiil.. Though, and as an affront to the McCain campaign, anybody who talked with all those normal people should have seen this coming. I had the benefit of having friends in Alaska — but a monkey who had friends in Alaska should have seen this coming. So should I look smart because McCain was an idiot and couldn’t even vet his vice presidential nominee?

Oh, most definitely. I’m hoping to have election day off so I can vote first thing in the morning, then help drive voters to the polls, and then spend the evening liveblogging the election!

Also, I might get interrupted once or twice but I have every intention to liveblog the last debate, and I’m actually hoping that the liveblog adopts the tone of the end of our last liveblogging. Get your teabags ready!

You guys do realize, don’t you, that we will need a serious liveblogging event on election night? There will be schadenfreude (Kyle, thanks for spelling it for me!) aplenty, no doubt liberal amounts of alcohol and/or other recreational substances, and extreme merriment all around. I’m hyped for it.

A "partisan led inquiry run by Obama supporters" is a funny statement since the investigation started before Sarah Palin was in the national spotlight. To quote myself from the day of her nomination to the ticket...

Sarah Palin is currently being investigated. Emphasis on currently. It has been said this campaign that choosing a running mate is essentially a candidate’s first presidential decision, and McCain choose a candidate who is still under investigation in Alaska. The reason centers around Alaska State Trooper Mike Wooten, Gov. Palin’s former brother-in-law, and questions over whether Palin’s office pushed to get him fired. One reason why there are questions is because Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan was fired. Monegan, also the former Chief of Police in Anchorage, was described to me as being a man nearly “beyond reproach” who should have never been fired. Though Palin’s office initially denied involvement in pressuring Monegan to fire Trooper Wooten, an audio recording of a call to Monegan from one of Palin’s aides was revealed a couple weeks ago.

She was already being investigated, yet Troopergate is a creation of the Obama campaign? What a bunch of lying sacks of shit these motherfuckers are.
