No matter how much one may hate the notion of a bailout…
There are some op-ed/informational pieces (I can’t technically call this an op-ed piece since it wasn’t printed on the editorial page) that hit the nail on the head, and David Leohardt’s frontpager from yesterday’s NY Times</a> is one of them. It’s a good overview of how depressions work, looking at the history of the Great Depression and applying it to today’s economy.
