September Fundraising Obliterates Expectations
I’ve been touting for a bit now that Obama was going to have some very impressive fundraising numbers to post; the numbers I’ve been hearing have been between 90-100 million.
As it turns out, that was low-balling it, and by a very larege margin. The actual number, released this morning, is $150 million raised in the month of September, with 650K new donors being added, bringing the total number of donors to the Obama campaign to 3.1 million.
While there were some high dollar fundraisers thrown in there, it’s important to also note that the average donation was $100.
