The Easiest Eleven Minutes On Television

You can tell that Bill Burton, the Obama campaign spokesperson in this segment, is having the easiest eleven minutes on television of his life. Even Chris Matthews gets in there and recognizes that all Burton’s doing is letting the McCain flack hang herself on her own rope:

Kyle, I think that Chris Matthews eviscerated Nancy Pfotenhauer’s defense. I think he eviscerated Sarah Palin, too. 🙂

  2. You just really like that word and wished I had used it, huh?

  3. Kathy says:

Yeah, but you will. I know you will.

  4. Actually, I don’t think eviscerated is quite strong enough. I’m not even sure pwn’d is strong enough here.

As much as I agree with Matthews, and in this case, I agree completely with what he is saying, I still can’t stand the way he talks over people. It’s not just him but most of these TV news hosts do it, O’Reilly immediately comes to mind. I’m like, why bother inviting guests? Why not just have his own speech for an hour? I think he should have asked the question and forced an answer, which he was trying to do, but then kept talking and talking and talking! I do not mind at all that he interrupts when she tries to derail or change the subject or make nonsensical excuses, but he made the point and then wouldn’t shut up and let either guest speak!

Other than that, yeah he pwn’d her and Palin!

  6. You know, you make a very good point. And Chris Matthews does have that habit, though to his credit his habit isn’t as bad as say O’Reilly’s or Hannity’s. Still, in this instance I can understand it. I was personally shouting people down and throwing my copy of the constitution at people over this. You know, this is just one of those instances in politics where it almost necessitates the response.

Anyway, I just woke up, I don’t even know what the hell I’m typing, I’m just, you know, quitting now…
