56: Merkley the Projected Winner in Oregon!
Jeff Merkley has recaptured the lead in the Oregon Senate race and, looking at where the remaining votes are from, The Oregonian has projected Merkley as the winner.
Counting Bernie Sanders but not Joe Lieberman, this gives the Democrats 56 seats in the Senate. Alaska, Minnesota and Georgia all remain possibilities – albeit slight ones – for further Democratic pick ups.
