Here’s my theory about it: Malkin’s schtick (all of the rightwing pundit’s schticks, really) is to say something, anything bad about Obama. So their goal is to now dig for anything that they can use as fodder to throw to their rabid reader base. Let’s not forget that Malkin derives of fame and living from satisfying these people’s need for hating anyone on the left. So if there’s no real bad news about Obama on a particular day, people like Malkin have to grasp at straws.

A metric of how well the Obama administration is doing could very well be the patheticness of Malkin’s blog headlines from day to day.

All such a metric would need is a clever name, actually. Some options.. Malk-o-meter, Malkrtic, Satan’s Bullshit Monitor, etc.
