Stupidity does not pick sides, right or left or center. Neither does intelligence. Trying to paint all people with a broad brush just means the painter doesn’t have much of an argument.

I agree that politicians are human and people say dumb things, but in this instance the dumb things were contemplated, written, published, and proudly extolled for profit. I think there’s a huge difference between that and a verbal miscue.

To me, this whole thing is just the latest example of what passes for political commentary today. Each sides pundits and bloggers play “gotcha” with the latest verbal misstep by a political opponent. It’s boring and an intellectually lazy exercise in futility. Politicans are human. Humans say dumb things. Film at 11:00……..

Both sides use it blatently, but have no apparent memory of their own use.
