I have read all your comments….some mature and intelligent…others not, but it was actually a link offered by one of you that shocked me the most and prompted this post.

Although I frequently listen to Rush (but prefer Glenn Beck), I gave you the benefit of the doubt (proven by my visiting this site…I consider everyones opinions) and actually looked at your link to the “Top 10 Racist Limbaugh Quotes” made by Rush. It was not the comments he supposedly made, nor the fact that most were saracsm, abridged and taken out of context that truly horrified me. What absolutely floored me is the websites existence itself!

“NewsOne…for Black America – a part of BlackPlanet.com”! Are you kidding me? How can you even give credibility to a site such as that? How about one called “NewsOne…for White Americans”? Can you imagine the backlash and outrage? BET : Black Entertainment Television. Can you imagine WET : White Entertainment Television? I am white and many of my best friends are black. Why am I incessantly villified by many black organizations? Why are many calling for reparations for something that happened before I was even born and for which I am in no way responsible? Of course slavery happened, but it is not something blacks get to hold over future generations to justify special treatment or conditions. Websites and organizations such as this are not condusive to us growing strong as a nation….they are divisive!

It is time for the separatism, division and racism by individuals and organizations in this country to end. I don’t care if you are black, white, purple, grey or yellow……we all bleed red and I evaluate others by their actions, not their race, size, color, theology or political affiliation! We are all Americans…period. Remember “ONE nation, under God..”? We are all EQUAL in the eyes of God and our Founding Fathers knew this and incorporated it into our foundation.

I don’t call myself a “Scotch American” because I am Scotch. Titles such as Italian American, African American, Cuban American, German American etc. etc. do NOTHING but further divide us and separate us socially and ideologically. As for me and mine….we are Americans….period.

When you ensure that Rush Limbaugh — possibly the most popular AM talk show host of all time with millions of listeners — is not a leader of the Republican party, then we’ll discuss whether or not a failed sitcom actor tells jokes that are offensive enough to prompt the fake sanctimonious BS that comes from your side anytime we dare as much as breathe.

Per usual you ignore Sykes …. rather than honestly evaluate what she said … try to draw comparisons to Bush and Limbaugh.

After watching the WHCD, I have to admit there were some funny parts (Obama referring to Boehner’s tan) … but there were plenty of bombs too. Both Obama and Sykes dropped some low, offensive bombs, the Audience reaction was obvious, the same as mine.

Overall these Dinners are a big kiss-ass with the media. Probably doesn’t serve the Presidency nor the public any good as a whole anymore.

No, Brian, you’re mixed up. Nobody said Pres. Bush set out to destroy the American economy. Rush Limbaugh said that about Obama. Obama has a secret plot to destroy the economy. He is intentionally, deliberately involved in a conspiracy to destroy the U.S. economy. This is the President of the United States we’re talking about. He is charging the president with treason. But that’s fine, because he’s Rush Limbaugh.

I will repeat: Limbaugh did NOT say Obama was doing harm to the economy. That would have been acceptable disagreement, even if untrue. Limbaugh said that Obama was plotting to destroy the economy. But that’s no problem, because, unlike Wanda Sykes, Limbaugh did not say what he said jokingly. He was dead serious. It would have been much worse if he had been doing a comedy routine. But he only meant every word he said, so that’s okay.
