Pres. Obama’s Press Conference on Iran

WhiteHouse.gov has the transcript of Obama’s opening remarks, in English and in Persian. The accompanying video includes Persian subtitles.

I have not yet read the transcript or listened to Obama’s remarks, but I wanted to get this information up here as soon as possible.

In reading reenct news and blogs re the state of health care reform, I am astonished and concerned the idea of reform/regulation/cost containment/ is being so diluted that it will be meaningless. If the bills don’t have the teeth they need, I (and many others) favor single payer say, a reformed medicare gradually offered to ALL, in ten year increments. That would give the insurance companies time to find other ways to make money and get used to the idea.We have to have health care reform, but we have to do it right.

  2. A pleasingly rational answer. Good to hear from you.
